How transaction fees work
AutoAgent takes a small fee on card payments a business takes through AutoAgent, at its plan's rate and never more than the cap on any one payment.
The rate on each plan
| Plan | Transaction fee |
|---|---|
| Starter | 1.5%, max $20.00 per transaction |
| Growth | 1%, max $15.00 per transaction |
| Pro | 0.5%, max $10.00 per transaction |
Trade plans follow the same three levels (for example a clinic's Essentials, Practice and Practice Plus). The rate for your plan is shown on its card on the pricing page.
When it applies
On card payments your customers make through AutoAgent, into your own connected Stripe account:
- Orders from your online store
- Bookings paid online
- Deposits
- Packages and memberships
- Gift card sales
- Invoices paid online
- Subscriptions your customers pay you
When it does not apply
- The part of a payment covered by a gift card (the fee was taken when the card was sold)
- Orders paid on a marketplace such as eBay or Amazon
- Your own subscription to AutoAgent
- What you pay a supplier for a dropshipped product
- Payments you record yourself, such as cash
Refunds and disputes
- Refund a payment in full and its transaction fee is returned in full.
- Refund part of a payment and the fee is returned in proportion.
- Lose a card dispute and the fee on that payment is returned.
Separate from Stripe's fee
Stripe charges its own processing fee on every card payment, set by Stripe and paid to Stripe. AutoAgent's transaction fee is separate from it. Our fee is also never more than what is left of a payment after an estimate of Stripe's fee, so a payment never costs you more than it brings in.
When collection starts
Transaction fees are not being collected yet. Collection starts when it is switched on for payments through your connected Stripe account, at the rates above.
